Pipe Plugs and Weld Testers
Pipe plugs are used for the following:
Isolating works areas in piping: The area of activity is isolated from the rest of the pipe and medium, therefore eliminating the risk of exposure to harmful or hazardous medium.
Purging: The pipeline is isolated and set intervals making the process of purging localized to a specific area and not the complete line.
Access control: Pipe plugs with access control devices can be utilized to keep a manhole or restricted pipe secure from entry.
Pressure tests: Localizing pressure test to one area, therefore saving cost on labor and test medium.
Sizes: 25NB up to 4000NB
Pressures: Up to 50 Bar
Material of construction: Stainless steel, Aluminium or Carbon steel
Inline pipe weld testers and flange weld testers
Benefits of using inline weld testers to conventional full pipe pressure testing:
Reduces hydro test procedure time by up to 60%
Reduces the volume of test medium.
Test is localized and is safer than a full test.
Welds are subject to a pure hoop stress when tested and therefore giving a strength test and a pressure test.
Range: 25NB up to 4000NB
Pressures: up to 50 Bar
Material of construction: Stainless steel, Aluminium or Carbon steel
